That was cool seeing Mitch Easter. I have been a fan of his music since the early 80s. Lets Active were a great band! I still throw Afoot onto my turntable when I'm in a vinyl mood and it still raises my pulse rate and gets me happy. But right now, Writing the Book of Last Pages is stuck in my head. I'm gonna go have a listen.?

GREAT VIDEO!! Question: Why would we want to get "a little bit of clipping on the A to D" ?? Isn't clipping in digital audio bad? Why would we want to clip anything? He says in the video that he did that because he wanted to "get an extra .5 db of level" at 2:50. But then the first plugin he uses specifically to lower the overall gain to get more headroom... which, correct me if i'm wrong, defeats the purpose of having the extra .5 db of level to begin with... right? What am I missing? Is it just that he wanted to get the most sound possible from the neve console badly enough that he was willing to sacrifice the possibility of clipping to get that maximum Neve tone? Anybody have any insight here? thanks in advance. I love this video.?
