The problem I have with this is how do you know a riff is going to work if
the sound depends on digital delay and other effects to work ?

What if the riff NEEDS delay or other effects like distortion to make the
raw sound ??

I agree it is faster and often more effective. But I think once you have
truly mastered your writing style you should be able to conceive the entire
song from start to finish, writing all voices at once, not from a top down
structure. Top down structure is effective but can become like a formula or
sound somewhat forced. You should become so accustomed with the way you
structure songs that you don;t need a top down structure. Then your music
can be really organic and free. ?

This guy is not a song writer or composer—he’s a sound designer/engineer.
Hardly any mention of melody, harmony, rhythm, form—only sounds.?

I’ve been learning a lot of things lately, video production, music
production, computer programming, etc. What I’ve found crazy is they’re
almost all related in the way you organize and complete projects. So this
video isn’t just about being organized while producing music but being
organized and structured in doing any large projects 😀 Amazing?

explained, being clear which stage you’re in is vital to maintaining flow
