My workflow has always been something along the lines of this:
1. Sound design/sampling
2.Structuring
3. Texturing (This is where I will riddle small samples, effects, and drum
breaks throughout the track to spice it up.)
4. EQing
5. Mastering

Some tracks will take me days because the track may have a lot of layering
and depth or it could take me a couple of hours.?

Thanks for the video I really agree. I had this problem a lot when I made
music years ago and i’m just starting to get into it again now. Having you
define and explain this really helped me visualize how I should be
approaching composition and realize one of the main problems to my process.
I WAS getting too caught up a single sound halfway through arrangement etc.
