@refuse2bstopped This might be caused if you have a condenser microphone
that someone sings to close to it and spits all over it. The saliva creates
short circuits inside of it making the recording to come in and out.
Installing a pop filter and singing farther my fix this problem after
letting the mic dry.

This is one of the most important things for a beginner:) I remember when
I've been doing the same mistakes until I've found that SEND channel in
Cubase SX...No one told me about it before so that kind of tutorials are
very helpful indeed!

I never mastered the song. But the mastering engineer would probably do
something like this. EQ----->Compress------>exciter or
widener---------->limiter------------->dither. Sometimes they rearrage the
order depending on the source material. But really mastering takes years to
get right.... the same goes for mixing, but I would never discourage anyone
from trying to learn it on their own. Get Bob Katz book, "Mastering Audio".
Theres a great deal to be learned from that book.

Nice Tutorial.....I do have a question....I am a little confused....so
basically what you were doing at the end there was taking everything and
mixing it down to one track w/o bouncing.......SO U CAN DO THAT WITH VOCALS
AS WELL?? EX. If I stacked the main vocal 2 or three times...once I mix it
how i want it....I can combine those 2 or 3 tracks into one w/o having to
bounce them down? I have been doing this the hard way for a long
time....Trying to conserve tracks
