I want a Music Career so how can I Learn all of this?

  • Like riding a bike or playing an instrument, once you learn it, you learn it for a lifetime.
  • There are three parts of learning before it becomes a part of you for a lifetime:
  • 1.) Learning and knowing it in your mind.
  • 2.) Asking Questions until all your answers are complete
  • 3.) Applying it until it becomes a part of your long term memory.
  • First, you learn the information by reading the lessons and course textbook homework.
  • Second, you ask all questions and get every question answered by your personal student advisor. We answer every question according to custom equipment list, goals and how you want to live your music dream. There is no ‘one size fits all’ in a music education.
  • Third, you apply everything you have learned with 24/7 hands on training; Your studio is your personal music school..

24/7 Hands on Training Included:

  • Hands on training IS NOT when you sit in a studio, tweak knobs and play with faders.
  • Hands on training IS NOT when you look over an instructor or tutors shoulder.
  • Hands on training IS NOT when you sit in a classroom with a workstation.
  • Hands on training IS when you are alone, in your own studio, using the gear you have and when you complete a project to the ‘radio ready’ industry standard on a deadline.
  • You will receive 24/7 Hands on Training with your own equipment applying every technique and workflow.

Why is your tuition only $2,500 instead of $7,000 to $50,000?

  • You are not paying for accreditation fees ($10,000 a year).
  • You are not paying for faculty, campus upkeep, housing, or traveling.
  • You are not paying for school equipment that you will never use again.

Why is what your school teaches different than my research?

  • CMPS is gives you a music school education with guaranteed results. A college degree, certificate or diploma, by law, cannot guarantee you results.
  • Anyone can attend a classroom but that doesn’t mean you’ll learn anything.
  • Anyone can learn to record, produce, mix and master but not everyone can finish..

How does the Music School work?

  • There are 7 lessons; Each lesson must be completed before moving to the next.
  • Complete one lesson at a time with included homework; Read chapters in the course textbook, apply what you have learned.
  • 24/7 Hands on Training; Each Lesson you will make beats, sample, record, mix and master for homework. You will have minimal 7 completed songs of your own to release.
  • Each assignment will be reviewed with feedback given until completed.
  • You receive one-on-one student advisor support through the entire course; All questions will get answered.
  • If it takes 7 weeks, 7 months or longer, you will have someone assist you every step of the way. If you go out of town, work schedule changes or need more time on homework, you will not lose any information. The music course is customized to each student’s learning curve, time schedule and budget.

Ok I still don’t understand this.
Can you just tell me how the school works?

  • The 7 Lesson Course is not an online course or video tutorial. It is an interactive course that combines online access, phone and email support in order to give you the results you are looking to achieve.
  • Your personal studio becomes your music school. There is no need to spend money on additional travel or housing costs.
  • You will get 24/7 hands on training using your own equipment.
  • You will first learn the information through each lesson one at a time. Next you will apply it using your own equipment any time of day or night.
  • Included free at no additional charge is your very own personal student advisor who will answer all of your questions along the way until you achieve the results you desire and complete your music education.

Here’s what you are Guaranteed to Learn:

  • Create a Radio Ready Master in 3 hours or less.

How do you Teach all this info in one Music Course?

When our music school first started, we started with ‘in studio’ training in Atlanta. It took students a year and a half to complete. Students lost information because they had to spend additional time translating info they learned to their own equipment after gettin home from each session. Additional travel expense and costs were also not beneficial for students.

We then switched to online and phone training where we would log in directly to the student’s computer and walk them through every step. This process took students eight months to complete the Course. This Course was still not efficient enough for what our students needed. Even though they learned in nearly half the time, they still couldn’t remember everything covered in each jam-packed information session.

Now, with over 13 years experience in the music business, we have consolidated all of our tips, tricks, templates and experience into a Music Production & Engineering Course that can taken in as little as 7 weeks to complete.

Our course is unlike a video tutorial, a manual or any other music course available to date. It is setup so you can learn with any combination of studio equipment, hardware or software currently available. You’ll be able to reference this course for the rest of your life. You’ll also have a student advisor give you one on one support through the entire music course.

This is the only music school offering all these features in one affordable package:

    Basic Music Theory
    Piano Lessons
    Ear Training
    Sound Design
    Compression, EQ, Effect
    Outboard Gear and Plugins
    Mixing and Mastering

Where are the Music School Locations?

    Anywhere in the world.

    How?

When you go to a college, music institute, studio, or any other place to learn, you lose knowledge in the translation. In other words, after class you have to come home, translate, integrate and then apply everything you learned to your own equipment, circumstance and goals. Valuable knowledge and time are lost in this process.

Since the Course will directly teach you using your own personal studio, you will have no questions after completion. In fact, you’ll be able to unlock gear from any studio you work in. We have trained people through the phone and internet on equipment we never physically used by using these same methods. This is proven to be the fastest method of learning music production and engineering.

Wouldn’t you like to complete your education which took us over 13 years to create in only 7 weeks from anywhere in the world?

What if I want to re-locate to a better City for my Style of Music?

For students living at home or if you have your own spot already, there is no need to relocate to a better music town until you have completed your training and have setup your music business.

If you think about it, you are just delaying your music dreams and goals… Some people never get to live their dreams after getting out on their own.

That decision alone WILL put your music career behind 1-3 years, minimally. Right now, you have a place to stay and more time than making a move on your own to a new city and the additional time that will be lost and expenses for relocating.

Once you’ve completed this Course, invested in your studio equipment and music business, you can choose to live where you want. You will take your business with you wherever you go.

Every decision you make NOW ultimately affects how easy or how hard the future will be for you in achieving your dreams.

We have set this Course up so you are not required to spend additional monies on traveling expenses and don’t lose information due to translation when working in another location.

Can I get College Credits for this Music Course?

Music education is unlike any other education. If you have a certificate or degree it doesn’t mean a thing. Today, your certificate and degree is a finished product, recorded at your own studio that competes with what’s on the radio. End of story.

In the music industry, you can’t fake it. Being successful in the music industry is a combination of having a strong music business foundation and getting your songs, music productions, and demo reel recorded from your studio to meet the industry standard.

A music career is a lifetime journey founded and fueled by a passion for all aspects of music; creation, business and relationships.

When you get a student loan, you are in debt for minimally the next 10 years.
When you get financial aid, you potentially waste 1-4 years of your life with no guaranteed results you will achieve the radio ready sound with your own equipment.

All systems have bugs, glitches and issues; we’re talking about computers here… It’s better to stick with what you are familiar with as you have plenty to learn already.

Adding a new platform will just complicate the process of your music education. We have had students jump ship before or during the music course and it set them back six months up to a year.

Our music school teaches the foundation and role of the artist, songwriter, music producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer and mastering engineer on any system, hardware or software equipment.

Whether you take this course with ProTools, Cubase, Sonar, Fruityloops, Reason, Nuendo, etc. we will show you how to best use your current equipment according to your goals.

  24. Rating: +8

    Positive Negative

If ProTools is the Industry Standard, how come everyone isn't using it?

The term 'industry standard' must really be put into perspective. Because of the many wide possibilities of sound design and technique, there are no standards, only guidelines. When the shift in the recording engineer's role changed with George Martin and the Beatles, they began creating their own unique techniques during the creative process that schools later coined as standards, created definitions and derived music courses from.

Technology and the internet has changed everything. It is up to each artist, producer and engineer to create their own standards within their use of equipment, budget, goals and time.

ProTools is not the industry standard. Moreover, its what a lot of people in the industry are using.

ProTools LE is what most people are familiar with these days. It offers only 32 tracks with limited track capability, EQ is not on every track, and midi editing & capabilities have been considered poor in comparision to others in the market with the track limitations. Some people use ProTools and another sequencer which adds additional expenses of time and money.

We highly suggest don't invest in ProTools because you heard that everyone is using it. We recommend doing the research. It is very important to weigh the feature list and pricing as with any investment decision before deciding if it is right for you.

  25. Rating: +6

    Positive Negative

Is it ok if I use something other than ProTools? Why does everyone talk so much about it?

ProTools started as a proprietary DSP system. A DSP system is a system that uses a proprietary DSP hardware and software combination instead of relying solely on the computer’s memory resources.

When computers were limited in speed, memory and space, ProTools proprietary DSP system used memory from the hardware interface thus giving the most reliability in a time when computers were not reliable. The story of ProTools popularity comes from the TDM & HD DSP based systems that offered a stable solution on a computer before computers could be stable with audio.

Now that computers are very powerful there are many other software solutions that can be used other than ProTools that do not limit the use of hardware with an exclusive software. Because of the wide variety of powerful hardware and software, it is very important to carefully consider the expense and feature list of any system before investing.

What about Music Equipment; Do I need it to get started? Do I buy it from you?

The goal is to get every component needed to operate a full fledge recording, music production studio AND the education to run it successfully.

If you’re just beginning and need to purchase music equipment or are intermediate to advanced and think you need additional gear, we recommend purchasing equipment during the music course.

The first week’s lesson “Developing a Relationship with your Music Equipment” will show you step by step what to purchase and why. From there, you will get direct support from your student advisor on getting the best priced gear and choosing exactly what you need without spending a penny more than what’s needed.

If you do not learn on your own equipment, in your own studio environment and at your own pace, how can you permanently retain this information in your long term memory and put it to use when and where you wish?

We have done all the research, work, have taken the hassle out of everything and will answer all of your questions ensuring you get the most professional equipment at the best price. Our goal is to help you protect your budget and to invest in equipment that will last for many years to come.

It's your school accredited? Are your courses transferable? These don't stop me from starting with you but I just wanted to know.

We are not accredited and there are many reasons why but we'll give you two. 1) Cost. Accreditation will increase the tuition for each student. 2) The music business is one of the few careers where a certificate or degree does not get you where you want to go. 95% of students who attend accredited colleges for a music career never use the equipment they were taught on again. Being in the music business is about results. Not what a piece of paper says you can do but instead, what does your music sound like, are you consistently creative, how long does it take to complete a radio ready song, is your music business completed, etc.
